Fall 2011 Consignment Sale is HERE!!

It's that time of year...you know when we have cleaned out our closets to make room for all of the new back-to-school clothes!  But now...what ARE you going to do with all of that stuff?  Well...we have the answer for you!

The Gainesville United Methodist Church MOPS program is holding our annual Fall Consignment sale on Saturday, October 29, 2011.  Registration for consignors is now underway.  Don't miss your opportunity to become part of a one of the area's longest running children's consignment sales.

In order to hold your slot, we are asking for a $15.00 deposit.  This deposit is held in order to make sure we have room for as many interested consignors as possible, and that those who register, actually intend to consign.  The checks will not be cashed until after the sale.  If you show up to consign items on Friday evening, your check will be returned to you.  We will ONLY cash your check if you do not show up to consign any items.  As a consignor, you receive 60% of the profit from the sale of your items, and 40% goes to support our MOPS program.

Please email gummops@yahoo.com in order to request your consignor number.  After receiving your reservation fee, you will be emailed your consignor number for the sale.  Consignors will receive their checks within 4 weeks of the close of the sale.  Remember...you have the opportunity to shop the sale early if you are a consignor!!

Space is limited, so act now and PLEASE tell all of your friends!!

Spring Consignment Sale...Coming Soon!!

It's that time of year...you know where we start spring cleaning and de-cluttering!  Now that you've cleaned out all the closets and those toy chests, what ARE you going to do with all of that stuff?  Well...we have the answer for you!

The Gainesville Church of the Word MOPS program is holding our annual Spring Consignment sale on Saturday, April 9, 2011.  Registration for consignors is now underway.  Don't miss your opportunity to become part of a one of the area's longest running children's consignment sales.

We have made some changes to help the sale run more smoothly.  This year we have eliminated the $5.00 administrative fee and instead are asking for a $15.00 deposit to hold your spot in the sale.  This is in order to make sure we have room for as many interested consignors as possible, and that those who register, actually intend to consign.

Please email mopsatecw@yahoo.com in order to request your consignor number.  After receiving your reservation fee, you will be emailed your consignor number for the sale.  Consignors will receive their checks within 4 weeks of the close of the sale.  Remember...You get to shop the sale early if you are a consignor!!

Space is limited, so act now and PLEASE tell all of your friends!!

Welcome Back & Open House

Hi Moms!!  We hope you enjoyed a great summer with your kids!  But, as we all know, the end of summer brings the beginning of school and a new MOPS year.

We are having to alter our September calendar slightly, because of the late school start and Little Lambs' orientation days.  Therefore, rather than meeting the 1st and 3rd Wednesday as we normally do, this month, we will be meeting the 3rd (September 15) and 4th (September 22) Wednesdays.

Our September 22 meeting will be an Open House meeting, to welcome new prospective members.  This will be a time for these new moms to "try out" our group.  We hope to welcome a few new members from this Open House and begin to grow our group.  So...if you have a friend who you think may enjoy our group and it's ministry, please invite them to come and try us out!

See you all soon!

SOS MOPS Meeting This Wednesday

Hi Ladies...it's been WAY too long since we've had the opportunity to fellowship with one another. And, since we had an AWESOME meeting planned for Valentine's day that we don't want to go to waste, we are going to have a Save Our Sanity MOPS meeting this Wednesday (Feb 24). Childcare will be provided as usual, and this will be a BYOB (bring your own breakfast) meeting. We will return to our regular schedule of meetings next Wednesday, March 3.

Hope to see you all tomorrow. The kiddo's will have their Valentine's party as planned for earlier in the month, so please bring their Valentine's cards...and don't forget the pictures of your hubbies!!

MOPS Play Date

Bummer...the snow got us again. BUT...Maria Murray has been so gracious to offer up her home for a playdate/Mom's get together this Wednesday. We realize that if there is a 2-hour delay some of you will have to get older kids onto the bus prior, so come when you can. If there is no school, she has invited us to bring our older children, too! So, come on over and join us at Maria's home on Wednesday around 10 am.

MOPS during Snow

Don't forget that we DO follow the PWCS when it comes to delays and cancellations. As it looks now, it is very likely that we will at least be under a 2-hour delay for schools on Wednesday. If this happens, that means our MOPS meeting will be canceled for the week. I know...BUMMER, considering we missed our first meeting this month and many of us have been stuck at home for the past week or more! Hope to see you Wednesday, but if not, I look forward to seeing you all again on March 3. Maybe we can hope for some early spring weather!!
